Eaglehawk Neck Pelagic Trip, SE Tas IMG_6086 20210606

Notes: AKA Pintado Petrel Fairly small. Black head & neck, white belly & breast. Underwing
white w. black border. Back & upperwings distinctively patterned black & white speckled, as is
tail which has a terminal band of black. Some blackish spots on undertail-coverts. Ssp australe
slightly smaller, white speckling on upperwings restricted to outer & inner blocks. Ssp capense
speckling tends to bleed between blocks. Breeds sub-Antarctic islands, moves N in winter.
