Notes: Bold black barring on breast, white face, dark moustache. Bill dark brown; brown iris.
Juvenile: broad black streaks, not bars; plain grey-brown head. Only two honeyeaters in Aust.
build a dome-shaped nest: the Bar-breasted & the Brown-backed. Mostly waterside melaleuca
or eucalypt forests, feeding on insects.
