Notes: Like Varied Honeyeater but underparts lack yellow tones & heavy streaking; throat scaled
or barred dull yellow & grey-brown; range only overlaps in north. Black through eye down side of
neck, underlined yellow or white; side of neck white. Iris blue-grey rather than grey-brown of
Varied. Forages for insects all levels. Usually in mangroves; visits nearby eucalypt & paperbark
woodland.
