Notes: Greenest, glossiest bronze cuckoo. Unlike Horsfield's Bronze Cuckoo no distinct eye-stripe,
no exposed rufous in tail, only two undertail bars. Adult ssp plagosus ("Golden Bronze Cuckoo")
often flecked white on forehead, wholly dark bill. Ssp lucidus (Shining Bronze Cuckoo") from New
Zealand, forehead scalloped white, base of bill pale. Mainly in canopy of forests and woodlands.
