Notes: Compare Chestnut-rumped Thornbill, Inland Thornbill. Grey upperparts, unstreaked
breast, hefty bill, rufous rump patch, blackish tail w. pale tips. Dark red iris, darkish lores,
small fore-supercilium. Adult: fine dark streaking (not scalloping) of forecrown.
Uncommon. In arid & semi-arid mulga woodland w. Eremophila shrubs in understory.
